Finally, some answers- IMPORTANT NEWS FROM BRAZIL

Well, the results are in, and we now have confirmation that Brazil has crowned this year's Miss BumBum, the owner of the most round and lovely backside in the world.
      Brazil has a lot of things deeply, deeply wrong with it. This is not one of them.

 Anyhow, judge for yourself. I'm inclined to think that, despite the controversy (there were accusations of Bribery by the 3rd place winner, which, knowing Brazil, means that she didn't offer to bribe whoever was in charge of security for the judges who she bribed), they chose well. She's pretty- not a knockout by Brazilian standards, but lovely all around, and with a 42-inch bottom, not in danger of being soon forgotten.

5-minute vacation to Brazil

Still too busy to do much beyond gulp down a meal and turn out on deck to work, then wash, rinse and repeat, so here' something nice to look at- and for me, to remind me that staying an extra week on board (starting tomorrow pm) pays for, among other things, my next vacation to Brazil.

Well, one year ago this week, I was in Brazil. I'm vacationsick because it will be another year before I go back. Sigh. In the meanwhile, here's some pictures to drive up site traffic make me feel better. In honor of July being the one-month anniversary of my introduction to Brazilian travel, I will be posting the gatas weekly for this month, with all the fio dental (dental floss) bikinis you deserve.

ahhhh...

...so nice to be home, even if it's just my home away from home. I got back aboard last night, and promptly felt the tension ease out of my shoulder. Don't know what's up, but my left shoulder feels like there's ground glass pounded into it, though it's noticeably better today.

 In the meanwhile, I've included some pictures of my own from my time in Brazil in this week's collection of Nice Things. To recap, this being Tax month at home in the People's Democratic Volksreich of Massachusetts, I'm doing my part to promote cultural understanding and tolerance by introducing folks here to some nice people from Brazil. You're welcome.

 Also, bit of trivia: it's very hard to find outdoor pictures from Brazil that don't include butt-floss bikinis, because they're everywhere. This is awesome until you go yourself, and see wild packs of steroid-assisted 21-year old guys ogling your wife because her bikini fits in a test tube. This is also why Americans can't bring their guns. Lesson learned: don't bring your wife to the beach in Brazil. On the upside, they have traveling beer salesmen there who will, literally, come up to you with an ice-cold freshie if they see you've finished yours.
