Leavetaking: I am returning to blue water

Hi everyone-

I am flying out tomorrow morning for St. Maarten, there to join a bunkering operation for 4 weeks as a favor for my employer. I know that I won't have regular web access, although I'm not 100% sure what the satellite access will be like, I will have email access, anyhow.

I'll be back around the second week of January. I was going to miss Christmas anyhow, so this is not a bad alternative to spending Christmas bobbing around the brown waters of New York and New Jersey.

I'll try to post pics or updates as I can, but no promises.

In the meanwhile, I'm looking forward to being a real merchant mariner again and getting some foreign port access and sea time in the Carribbean.

In the meanwhile, feel free to stare at this until I get back:

When we ran down in those areas, I had to connect my cell phone to my laptop to get access to the web. You will have to buy a card for cell service(Its cheap) and this gets you on the web. We use to get them from the agents and customs, most times they will give them to you for free...with instructions on usage.Enjoy your time there Paul and Merry Christmas!

I was just down there a couple weeks ago and witnessed the bunker operation on the Norwegian Epic. It's quite the operation. Looks like a half decent rig (assuming there's only 1 supplier there). Have fun and enjoy the weather. Take some time to check out the beach at the end of the airport runway while you're there. It's pretty amazing!

Hi there all, here every one is sharing these kinds of experience, therefore it's pleasant to read this website, and I used to pay a quick visit this blog all the time.
