THOUGHTS AND COMMENTS FROM AN AMERICAN Merchant Mariner
Saturday, March 13, 2010
So I met up with a bunch of old friends today, most notably the Notorious BOB. So, now, it's over, it's been several hours, and I am, strictly speaking, drunk off my ass. God almighty, it's like i never quit fishing. So much fun.
I forget how I wandered into your posts. I took your recomendation about Max Hardberger and read Freighter Captain. Wow. Some book. I have ordered his next book. Thanks a lot. Very relevant about Haiti too. Carole G DHX Inc.
I'm Paul B and I'm a professional mariner and former but still occasionally a marine scientist. From commercial fishing in New England starting from age 8 to crewing on the largest ships in the world, to working on coastwise tugboats and oil barges. I married a Brazilian beauty queen and don't get to see her enough.

Glad to hear it, Carole. Capt. Hardberger's publisher is sending me an advance copy of his next book- I can't wait, either!
