Competence is part of what make...That is so weird. Competence is part of what makes a boy into a man. Being GOOD at what you do breeds respect, not the least is self-respect. I can't tell you how many jobs I got just by jumping in to help, whether I got dirty or not. Covered in mud during irrigation time, or soaked in hydraulic fluid helping with the leaky hose were just dues for learning, leading to a good job, competence and self-respect. I don't know why I get such satisfaction when no job is beneath me. Again, it's weird when I see someone that won't do something.<br /><br />I can fix most anything now, except the "entitled to a soft life" mentality that prevails these days.<br /><br />Thanks for the post.
